A proud 1986 graduate of Hastings Parochial School, Sheila Hedin has long been connected to the SEAS and Hastings Catholic community. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling and Corrections, she worked with adolescents and families in outpatient and inpatient treatment settings.
When her children began preschool at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School, Sheila became an active volunteer. She obtained her substitute teaching certificate and later served as SEAS School’s Marketing and Enrollment Director for five years. In 2018, she was part of the founding of the Hastings Catholic Education Foundation and served on the board for four years, contributing to both the Marketing and Alumni Committees.
Passionate about Catholic education and its influence on her family, Sheila is excited to return to the HCEF Board. She hopes to support the Foundation’s continued growth and strengthen its presence in the community. Her experience as an alumna, parent, and former staff member gives her a valuable perspective on the needs of SEAS students, staff, and families.
Sheila and her husband, Mark have two college-aged sons and a Golden Retriever, Zoey. She enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time outdoors—especially walking the Hastings trails with Zoey or enjoying summer days on the St. Croix River with family and friends.
