Rachel joined the HCEF board in fall 2022. She grew up in rural Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School. She is a lifelong member of SEAS parish, including St. Boniface. Rachel has a BS from the University of Minnesota and has worked in corporate communications her entire professional career with experience in several industries including agribusiness, healthcare, nonprofit and government. She currently works at Dakota County Government as a Communications Specialist.
Rachel is thrilled to be part of the board as it's a wonderful opportunity to leverage her skills and experience. Her youngest child graduated from SEAS last year and she feels honored to be once again connected to this great organization. Being a member of the board allows Rachel to give back to SEAS School. She feels the teachers and staff have been instrumental in forming her children to the wonderful people they are today. SEAS School has been key to their educational success in high school and beyond.
Rachel has three children; Lauren, Evan and Claire. All three graduated from SEAS. her husband Ed, is from northern Iowa and is a graduate of Catholic education. In her spare time, Rachel loves spending time with her family and friends, gardening and reading. She also teaches confirmation to our Catholic youth.
